Timothy Kevin Chaney



Timothy Kevin Chaney, age 51, died on May 13, 2008 from cancer in Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, S.C. with friends and co-workers by his side.

Born in Prince George Hospital, Tim grew up in Palmer Park, Md. and graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1975.

Tim worked for Lockheed Martin for 25 years in Orlando, Fla., as a Production Control Analyst and at ACS in Columbia, S.C. He is survived by his parents Alice M. and William (Bill) Chaney, of Woodbridge, Va.; three brothers, Russell W. Chaney, of White Plains, Md., Matt Chaney, of London, England and Allen C. Chaney, of Woodbridge, Va. He is also survived by five nephews, Danne, Phillip, Jonathan, Nicky and T.J.,three nieces, Faye, April and Alice; two great-nephews, Tyler James and Owen and great niece, Madison.

Family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge on Saturday, May 31 at 10 a.m., with a service in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.

I am a past co-worker of Tim's from Lockheed, he was very polite and always professional.
Sometimes when he needed a lift home from work when we work at the Central Park Location, I would drop him off on the way.
I pray Comfort and Peace to his Mom and all Family members. He was truly a nice guy.

I didn't know Timothy but wanted to express my condolences to his brother Matt who knew my brother, Bobby Schilling and I when we were teenagers. I live in Manassas and saw Timothy's picture in the paper and was immediately drawn to it seeing a familiar face. It has been many years but I believe that Timothy must share a strong resemblance to Matt. When I read the obituary and saw Matt's name listed as a brother and where he was from, I knew this had to be the same Matt. I'm sorry for your...
