Not sure what to say?

Solitude by Zara Ellis

As the WCU campus prepares for Velishia Butterfield-Jones' visit this evening from the Butterfield Group (http://www.butterfieldgroup.com/), during our 2015 Black Awareness Week, I decided to see if I could find "Uncle Timothy" on the internet. Remembering mother and Aunt Donna from my youth, their days as Dunn House girls at Fisk University (Class of 1957), and attending National Cathedral School for Girls in WDC (Class of 1988), I consider Dwight and Kevin like older brothers. Although...

In my Jewish religious cultural tradition, one lights a Yahrzeit candle on the annual anniversary of a loved one's passing. This morning, totally by coincidence, I Googled Mr. Donaldson's name when anticipating writing new articles about my interest in the vintage Sterling denominated currency of the Bahamas. If not for the kind, indulgent, generous courtesy of Mr. Donaldson some forty years ago in allowing my access to original records of The Central Bank & Monetary Authority's predecessor...

PLEASE ACCEPT MY SYMPATHY. KNEW HIM THROUGH HIS LATE SISTER HILDA BARRETT WHO WORKED WITH ME AT SCOTIA BANK NASSAU FROM JAN 1976 T0 JAN 1980. HE WAS A FINE GENTLEMAN AND A GREAT BAHAMIAN BANKING PIONEER WHO WILL BE MISSED.

He was a true Renaissance man.He walked with kings but did not become stuck up. He was always willing to help anyone who wanted to advance in life. He was an inspiration to me as a young man and I highly respected him.One of his favourite expressions I recall is "balance in all things". May his soul and the souls of all the departed rest in peace.

Yolande,
Be assured that God is holding you and Tatiana close to His heart. All is well now and will continue to be so;and Aunt Edith is so happy now.

My deepest condolences to the family for the loss of your dear love one.

Dear Kevin, Dwight, and family members,
I just learned about the passing of your Father (Tim) I send prayers and offer my sincere sympathy.

My deepest condolences to your family for the loss of your dear love one. We have a hope that the apostle paul describes as an anchor for our soul. If we rest our hope on the promises of our creator then we know that in the future he will resurrect persons with the hope of living on earth forever.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
