Douglass Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home Obituary

Timothy P. Gallagher, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at his home on February 18, 2022. He was 58 years of age.

Tim was born at Melrose/Wakefield Hospital on May 23, 1963. He was the cherished son of Joanne (McHugh) Gallagher of Wakefield and the late James W. Gallagher. Tim was the owner and operator of a granite curbing business, Reveal, Inc. He was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed biking, hiking and playing hockey. He was also an avid Boston Sports fan. But primarily, he was the kindest and most generous man, freely giving of himself to anyone in need.

He was the devoted brother of Kathleen H. Weaver and her husband Jeff of Gloucester, James W. Gallagher, Jr. and his wife Denise of Reading, Brian J. Gallagher and his wife Loretta of Newburyport, Deirdre C. DiLibero and her husband Kevin of Wrentham, and Siobhan M. Shwartzer and her husband David of Rye, NH. He was the loving uncle of 8 nieces and nephews, and the great uncle to another 10 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A visitation will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 8:45am to 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Tim’s memory to a charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to the Gallagher family, and to all of us who had the fortune to share a part of their lives with Tim. I will always remember Tim as a free spirit, who lived in the moment and learned by experience. Incredibly quick witted (I mean, so funny), yet thoughtful and caring. He spoke the truth, and was a friend you could always count on. Our friendship started freshman year at Austin Prep. We shared countless memories from high school through adulthood - from Bruins...

So sorry for your Tremendous loss. Tim was a kind and gentle person. He will be missed dearly.

This book of memories is to serve as a record of the services you entrusted to us. We hope it will help to preserve treasured memories and that we, in some small measure, have helped to ease your burden and bring you comfort.

My fondest memories of Tim are playing kickball on Morrison Road West as a child. I am so sorry for your sudden loss.

Eternal Friendship Remembrance Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. So shocking and sudden. Although I haven't seen Tim in many, many years, all of my childhood memories are filled with memories of him: Brook Street and Morrison Road West, playing kickball in the street in front of our houses, chasing the mosquito-spraying trucks, playing tag. He was a gentle soul, and very funny. I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to the Gallaghers.
