Not sure what to say?

Tim is one of the brightest, most caring and most driven individuals I had the pleasure of meeting during our residency together at George Washington. I have fond memories out time at GWU. Our thoughts and prayers will be with Phyllis and the kids.

I had the pleasure of working with Tim as an anesthesiology resident at GWU (class of '94). I worked with him both in the OR and ICU. He made medicine fun. I was shocked to hear of his passing and he will be greatly missed...

As part of the Class of 1979, my heart goes out to Tim's wife and children. May you and all the family find peace and comfort in our Lord. You are and will always be a great memory of the Class of '79. Rest in peace Tim.

Dr. Tim Gilbert will always be "Timmy Gilbert" to me. As Teresa said, he always made us laugh. I can't ever remember him even being mad. He was brilliant but didn't flaunt it. He was a musical genius but was so humble. Timmy was one in a million. My best to his family. He will be sadly missed.

My memories of Tim from high school are that he ALWAYS made me laugh. I was so amazed at his piano playing and how easy he made it look. He was so talented in so may ways. My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go to the family. This is so hard to believe.Rest in peace, Tim.

Words cannot express how deeply sad we are of learning of Dr. Gilbert passing. He was a brilliant physician, teacher and a mentor to many. Tim loved this family very much and was alway a proud father ready to share pictures of his children. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Phyllis and his children. Sincerely, Mary and Bryan Ferguson (University of Maryland)

I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. He was such a great person in high school and appears to have continued on with that greatness into adulthood. Our prayers are with all of you during this time.
