Not sure what to say?

Tim, I only met you once but thank you for being the inspiration you were to my son Tom. You may not have succeeded everywhere you wished to, but you never gave up, and set a good example for many. We will miss your hard work in the local film festival. I hope it continues yearly as a lasting tribute to your vision. Now that your earthly work is done, may God grant you the peace and rest you surely have earned.

When my son, Will and I entered the Fisch Haus for our first class of “How to Make a Short Film in Six Weeks” workshop, we really didn’t know what to expect. Often people as creative and intelligent as Tim don’t have the capacity to communicate that knowledge to others. Tim had the capacity. I was thrilled at his organization, the real life examples he used, the group discussions he led, the collaborative atmosphere he created. We marveled at the broad range he covered from screenplay writing...

Mr. & Mrs. Gruver,
We had the priviledge of meeting Tim during the Tall Grass film festival. Such a remarkable young man! Our deepest sympathies for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Mentor to my son, close friend, artist, community leader ... Until I see him next, I shall miss Tim so much. The world is much duller today while Heaven is far brighter.

Tim will be miss greatly and I miss him very much.
Miss Mimi Van Horn

To Timothy:
I know we'd been friends for a couple years, and were the inspiration to me to go to Utah to pursue filmmaking at BYU, well... I didn't get into BYU, but I got into UVSC Film School. You left LA and Dreamworks to come to Kansas (where we first met) and you taught me and mentored me. There were hundreds of books written on film, but when Tim recommended a book, I bought it w/o question. He taught me about film as art and we both shared the same passion for it - through daily...

Dear Kaye, my heart breaks for you. Julianne phoned me today, and together we grieved for Tim, but my tears were for you, his beloved mother! Please know you and your family are held close in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so saddened to hear about Tim's death. He was a great friend of mine when I lived in Wichita about 3 years ago, and we kept in touch. I'm so sorry that I didn't get to see him one last time. He was a very special person, so much fun to be around, and so loyal and generous. I know that I will never forget him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Tim we will greatly miss you and we know that your spirt is with god.
Love Always, Kirk and Alicia Short
