Dear Wanda and Clarence, I learned of your son's untimely passing just yesterday at an event where I would otherwise expect to be seeing the two of you. To say I am shocked and saddened would be an understatement. I am so very sorry for your most tragic loss. There is nothing I can say, of course, that will help, but I would like to remind everyone that we are all safer and more blessed in our lives because Tim lived among us and served his country than we ever would have been without him....

My deepest condolences to his family--you will be in my family's prayers. Timmy was a great shipmate and great friend throughout our training and at our first command. His kindness, support, and sense of humor will be missed greatly. RIP Warrior.
