Not sure what to say?

Sifting through the papers on my desk in my dorm room, I happened to find the letter of recommendation TK wrote for me. Reminiscing, I can sum up Mr. Ketterer in two words: life changing.
Four years ago, I was a freshman at RHAM. I always knew I loved music, but TK made it a whole different experience for me. Largely because of his encouragement and guidance, I am now studying music in college. Every time I set foot in a practice room, on stage or pick up my violin I remember the man...

Mr. Ketterer was an absolutely amazing teacher. He was even more than a teacher. He was a mentor, an incredible musician, and most importantly, a friend. He will be greatly missed, and his legacy will never fade.

I never had Mr. Ketterer for a teacher but everyone I know who had him said he was great. I did talk to him before and he was a really enthusiastic guy. We will all miss him at RHAM.

Tim was a wonderfully warm person and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his surviving family.

When I first heard that he was gone I could only think to be sad that he would never remind me how I called him up early one morning - he had jokingly promised to wake up early on his day off and keep me company while waiting for a package to be delivered - "Coffeeeee..."

It is one of those long stories that are treasured by those who lived them, like many of you...

Tim was a character and a good friend. This is all rather sudden as we heard nothing from anyone about this. I wish his family well and I will remember him fondly.

Dear Ketterer Family,

Tim, both musically and personally, impacted the lives of our two sons during their years in the RHAM Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. His passion for music was infectious and as a result, music continues to be an integral part of our sons' lives. We will remember him every time we hear our sons perform. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Words can not express our sadness on learning of Tim's passing. He was a tremendous influence on our daughters and not just in music. He taught them life lessons as well as music lessons. His dedication to Bolton and its children will never be forgotten.

To Sarah and the entire Ketterer family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will forever be grateful for my time as one of his students.

Heartfelt prayers and condolences to Sarah, Tim and family. Your father has touched so many with his talent and kindness. From his family, students, friends and classmates. The Steinert Class of 1972 remembers Tim well and offer our condolences to you at this time.
