Not sure what to say?

Tim Leonard was the reason I graduated from Siena Heights. He was a mentor and a friend and took every opportunity to help a struggling undergrad. As a political science professor Tim took the time to go over and map out a program that fit my career goals. We met every week and discussed my progress. He is the greatest professor I ever had and he will truly be missed.

I remember Tim from our first day at St. Francis. We were in the same section and I quickly gravitated to Tim because of his friendly and unassuming manner. Tim was always a gentleman and polite to all. My deepest condolences to his family.

Like so many, I was blessed to have Tim as my Political Science instructor at Siena Heights. He was a wealth of knowledge and an excellent facilitator of discussions. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim, his family and the Siena community!

My most sincere sympathy and condolences to Tim's family and the entire Siena Heights community upon this sudden loss. From 1985-2000 Tim was a respected colleague and good friend who collaborated in the exchange between the Human Services and History Departments while I was there. His legacy will be evident in his students and the example he gave as a thoroughly prepared, thoughtful and caring mentor. Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord, may he rest in peace. Amen.

Tim was an excellent professor and willing to help students at any time. He was a valuable resource of knowledge and even met with me to discuss issues that I was working on in other classes. When I applied to law school, he was more than willing to write a letter of recommendation for me. Tim was a great asset to the academic community, and I know he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim's family.Tim was one of those who you would never forget. We loved his smile and sense of humor. He will truley be missed. Ed & Cindy Simon

Tim Leonard - Spring of 2010

My thoughts and prayers to Tim Leonard's family. Tim will be missed greatly by all of us from the Social Behavioral Sciences Division and Siena Heights University. I have been his administrative assistant for the last few years and my heart is heavy. He was a good man. He was kind, funny, a good leader, knowledgeable, great story teller, he had the gift of listening, gentle in his heart when others were in need, and a friend.

Tim had the best grin ever! Anytime we passed in the hall, we shared a story or experience. Tim loved to read, and we often gave one another recommendations for summer reading. We both also talked about the Mudhens! Tim was a colleague of mine and we served on committees together. His sharp insight and his profound way of expressing himself was so very much appreciated. I will miss him dearly.

My sympathy goes out to the Leonard family. Tim was my professor for many years at Siena. Whenever you needed him he was always available. He was very knowledgeable and warm-hearted. Tim will be missed.
