Every school should have a Tim Lillis. St. Thomas Aquinas was sincerely Blessed to have had Tim represent them for 24 years. LIL' WAS AQUINAS! Lil' was REAL. He showed others you could have opinions, a large personality and lots of fun and still be a great Christian. He taught kids to march to their own drummers with the outcome always being to "do the right thing". His countless years of guidance in the classroom and on the field live on in the many fine,young men and women in the Kansas...

Mr. Lillis was a favorite teacher of mine. He used to teach Government in the basement of Aquinas. There wasn't carpet at the time in the basement. Wearing uniforms everyday, one area you could be unique was your shoes. I used to wear wooden clogs that loudly clacked against the concrete and Mr. Lillis used to say 'Ms. McTarsney do you have to wear those?' And since he was always such a good sport, I used to keep them in my locker and put them on before Government so I could make him smile...

Although it's been over ten years since our last child graduated from STA, we will always be thankful for Coach's influence on our children. As a teacher and especially as our sons coach. He will be greatly missed.
