Not sure what to say?

Hi Gail,

I can't believe it's been twelve years since Tim's passing. It truly seems like it was just yesterday. I have fond memories of Tim, one of which was when I saw him in Westborough at your house a week before he passed away. I remember you telling me the story of how Tim had humbly asked you if it would be okay for him to stay with you at your home when he realized that he was needing help with day to day tasks and getting to doctor's appointments, etc... I remember that...

I have a very fond memory of Tim that I'd like to share that shows the funny side of Tim. As a friend of Gail's, I automatically became a friend of Lorraine and Tim's. I would often go over to the house before getting ready to go out to dance at one of our haunts, one of which Tim dubbed 'Zip", which was a code word for 'Spit', a dance club in Boston. Dear Mahoney Family,

Please accept my heartfelt condolence. Tim was a caring man who used to donate books to the shelter I resided in and I'm very grateful for his warmth and generosity. My life was enriched by meeting him at the boating club where he tirelessly donated his time.
I hope to be as compassionate a person as he was! Semper fi!

Mr. Mahoney,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Semper Fi Devil Dog!

My heartfelt condolences for the loss of Tim. I was priviledged to spend some time with him 3 days before his passing. What a great guy.

Gail, my dearest friend, I'm here for you. It was great that you were able to spend quite a bit of time with Tim while he was living with you. I'm sure you'll treasure those 8 months always.

The entries from his marine buddies were very touching. I guess what they say is true, once a marine,...
