Timothy J. Maier

Timothy J. Maier, age 50 ,of Massillon, died Sunday, August 31, 2003.

He was born on Sunday, November 30, 1952, in Massillon and lived there all of his life. He is son of Betty (Fink) Konen of Massillon and the late John Maier. He was employed for 25 yrs. by the Timken Company and was a Supervisor. He was a member of Mary's Catholic Church.

Served in the United States Army, and was a veteran of Vietnam War era.

He is survived by his wife Patti J. Maier of Massillon, mother and step father Betty and Roy Konen of Massillon, two sons-Patrick and Matthew Maier of Massillon, two step sons Ryan and John Yant of Canton, a step daughter and son in law-Michelle and Dan Rosier of Massillon, a sister-Debbie Sumption of Massillon, step Grandchildren-Casey Forrester, Taylor Weaver, and Kaitlyn Weaver "his little sweetheart", two nephews Jeff Sumption of Massillon, and Brian Sumption of Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Catherine and Sylvester Fink , paternal grandparents Margaret and William Maier.

Funeral services will be held at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 1:00 PM, with Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating.

Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, in Canton, OH.

Visitation will be at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel on Thursday, from Noon to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
