Timothy Marcellus Marcus ("Tim") 51, passed May 21, 2014. He was a graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School, class of 1980 and a former employee at Michigan City Prison and Laidlaw Bus Company.
Preceded in death by his father, Joel David Marcus, Sr.; mother, Anna Louise Marcus; brothers, Joel David Marcus, Jr. and Gregory Randall Marcus; grandparents, great-grandparents, four uncles and four aunts.
Timothy is survived by brothers, Tyrone Marcus Detroit, Michigan and Ronald David (Patricia) Marcus Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Helen M. Montgomery Troy, Michigan; Edmonia Marcus Weaver Gary, Indiana; Joanne Cheryl Marcus Gary, Indiana; Rene A. Marcus Ervin Lafayette, Indiana; Gilda M. Marcus Pearland, Texas; two aunts, one uncle; Best Friend, Alan Robinson Gary, Indiana and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., June 21, 2014 at Smith Bizzell Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana.

My heartfelt condolences to the Marcus Family. I remember Timothy as a kind, gentle soul even as a kid. I have fond memories of him as far back as Beveridge Elementary. May God grant him eternal rest.

Tim was one of my first true friends. We met at Beveridge Elementary and remained friends for a long time. God Bless the Marcus family as Tim will surely be missed.
