Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear this. I worked closely with Tim when we both worked for the City of Cleveland. He was always my go to person for questions about liquor licenses. He even visited me in Long Beach, CA when his wife was in town for a conference.

I just recently learned of Tim's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Especially to Jacob and Nathan. Tim was a great boss and friend and I will always cherish the time I spent working for him. Peace and love to your family.

I "met" Tim initially over the phone. His name was vaguely familiar to me because of his council time. He had recently joined a national professional group and called me because he saw my name on its list of NEO members. I vividly remember that first conversation. It was fast-paced with lots of short, funny anecdotes. Such a nice, engaging guy!

We met in person shortly thereafter when we happened to attend the same continuing ed program. I think he raised his hand to ask a question...

To the Melena Family:
We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Tim's passing and send you our most heartfelt condolences. My brothers and I have great memories of growing up on Avondale, and certainly your family played a large part in many of them. We hope your family can take comfort in many wonderful memories of Tim and the knowledge that we all share your heartbreak. Much love to you all.

We have only been "new" friends of Tim having met him just this year at his seminars at Riders Inn. He soon became a friend. We send out our condolences to his family and his office family. Elaine Crane

Tim will always be remembered and cherished by our family. Have so many sweet memories of our lives together of Avondale Rd. in South Euclid. We all wish that we could be there to hug every member of the Melena family. He will be sorely missed by everyone in our family. Sadly, these words hardly relay how much he touched our hearts...and how heartbroken we all are over his passing.
Much love,
Joanne DeFiore

My deepest sympathy to the Melena family but especially, Jacob and Nathan.I never met you boys but oh, how proud your dad was of both of you. The love he has for you will surround you forever.I worked with your dad while he was the Council Representative for Ward 17. He was extraordinarily committed to that community and the City of Cleveland. No other councilperson I worked with would go from contemplating complex city budgets to personally taking his truck and clearing debris from an alley...

Tim started as our attorney only to become our dear friend. He was there for us during times of elation and for sadness. We confided in one another and he would tell us how great his boys were doing and was crazy about them. We love you and will miss you. RIP---

My prayers to Tim and the Melena Family...
