Read MoreI met Tim in 1974 and climbed with him to the Summit of Denali in 1975. He was always happy and excited to be in the outdoors and was a great partner on all of our climbs. I only learned today of his passing and I just wanted the family to know how much I enjoyed being around Tim and having him as a friend in those early days. So sorry for your loss. Well I'm bummed now... Just learned of Tim's passing. I liked him. He was married to my sister for a few years. Hung out with them in 1980 when St Helens was active. Took me climbing up Mt Rainier, fishing all over Oregon. His dog, Sarge, was the smartest dog I've ever known. I am better for knowing Tim. Wish I had told him that.
