Dear Family of Rev. Tim Mowry, You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Pastor Tim was wonderful to my family. He baptised my small children at Redeemer and I will forever remember his Love and willing to give to others. I thank you for that! Love, The Rueffer family of Traverse City

Pastor Tim: It was evident on Thursday that the lesson you taught to love one another was well-learned by those around you. We will continue to care for each other, until we see you again. Scott & Ginny Yost

Dear Mowry Family:
I was a member of the Central High, Memphis, class of l963, and I remember Tim as a kind and good student. I am so pleased to know that he followed his calling for ministry and did so many wonderful things to help others. May the Peace of the Lord always be with you. Sincerely, Paula (Wicker) Hamby

I was a classmate of Tim's at Memphis Central. I loved what he said before he died. How beautiful and confident one can leave this body when one is in Christ. Absent from the body and present with the Lord. That is joy!

Tim and I were friends in high school and even then he knew his life's calling. Even though I have not seen him in many years, I was sorry to hear of his death. I am certain he was at peace and has been a positive influence in many lives. God Bless and keep you.

Sorry that I do not remember Pastor Mowry from high school at Central; I'll be at the 45th reunion, Lord willing. I'm also a pastor since 1976, Th.M. and Th.D., and dean of one of our seminaries in the Reformed Episcopal Church, which is very much like Lutheranism. I always hate to hear that one of my high school mates has passed on, but with him being a Christian, "absent from the body, present with the Lord" (2 Cor 5:8). God bless the family.

Pastor Tim started my oldest daughter, Erika, on her spiritual journey Aug. 19, 1973, when he baptized her at Trinity, Monroe, where he was much loved. Our paths crossed again when he spoke at my youngest daughter's sixth grade graduation from Trinity Lutheran School, Traverse City. His influence as a spiritual leader was widespread, was much appreciated, and will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Pastor Mowry was such a source of comfort to my mom when my step father died, when I couldn't be there for her. I will always be greatful, he holds a place in my heart for all that he did. He was a wonderful example of God's love and I know he is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior in heaven.
