Dear Tim, I write these lines with a very heart. We must have met in 1998 or 1999, when you had started hiring graduate conducting students from the Hartt School as music director at St. Mary's. With your open and generous heart, soon we became good friends. I was adopted and we didn't know if I was paptized or not but he let continue with the confirmation class anyways. Plus he was my favorite priest too. He also signed my high school year books too.

I'll miss you, Father Murphy. My years as an Altar Boy were a major part of my childhood. After I moved away from home, you were always a welcome sight whenever I came back to visit. Hampden and St. Mary's will never be the same without you.
