Tim was a great role model towards a lot of people and I saw a lot in him and I want so much to carrie out his legacy.

The light of love and faith that Tim Nixon emanated will forever be held in our hearts. So very, very sorry to hear of the loss of such a loving, giving, caring soul here on earth. A new star shines bright in the sky reminding us to always look up as Tim so often reminded every person in his life.

Our daughter Rebekah was a sprinter at Liberty High School rather than a long-distance runner, but even though Mr. Nixon wasn't her coach, everybody knew him...and loved him. He was an inspiration to all the students and their parents. We have a close friend who has said many times that Tim Nixon was the most positive role model he ever had. We are so thankful that God gave him to us- even for such a short while- and we know that Tim is safe in God's hands now.

Mr Nixion was my favorite teacher. He taught me my first weather forecast. I loved his way of teaching so easy to understand. I am excited that he knew our Lord! I will see him again. I pray your families strength! Anita Harris powell.

Dear Todd and Nixon Families,
Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Tim I know from all of you he was a very special man on this earth. He brought much joy to all of the lives he touched. May your fond memories bring you much peace. You have a loving angel watching over you.

Not enough room on here to just what an impact Tim had not only in Liberty but the KC area and the state of Missouri in track and cross country .I ran at winnetonka and tim always had a kind word for me .even when I ran road races across the KC area .Big loss for Liberty and the liberty community

Coach Nixon had a remarkable ability to not only impact the kids that ran cross country but their parents. My twin sister and I ran from 1984-1989. When we transferred to Liberty in 9th Grade, Mr. Nixon approached us in the Library at the Jr. High and welcomed us. He then asked us if we were interested in running cross country. I will never forget that first day - we showed up with Kangaroo Tennis Shoes (the kind that had the little zipper). After running that 2 mile run(and feeling like we...

Tim Nixon was a fine teacher, a wonderful coach, a positive influence on Liberty's young people, a strong Christian, a faithful husband, a doting father and a caring Papa. I was glad to know him and glad my children ran track and field. When he got to heaven, I believe Jesus was there with open arms saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

Holding your family in prayer.
