Not sure what to say?

I have been living in Virginia for decades. Today, I decided to look for the many mentors who have made a difference in my life. Timo was one of these special people. I first met Timo when he taught ASL at the Jewish Community in Louisville. When I searched his name, I was directed to this website and totally not expecting to. Timo was kind, sweet and encouraging to his students. My condolences to his family on the loss of this remarkable man.

I recently heard the unexpected news of his passing. Timo has inspired my life when I first met him. I was one of the seven participants when MDO was first established in 1983 and volunteered for few years, was involved in Christmas play, Christmas & holidays gathering and retreat. I also was the sport director for activity at Deaf Community Center "Volley-O-Rama" volleyball.

Timo also invited me spending the weekend with him, Greg and few friends and also met his wonderful...

I just heard...his departure from our community is a great loss.

I just recently was told he had passed and I am saddened. He was a great professor at U of L. He will be missed. My sympathies are with his family for losing such a generous and caring loved one.

Timo was truly one of the kindest and most generous persons I have ever known. May his spirit continue to enrich and inspire us all.

The world lost a tremendous asset to the Deaf community and an amazing person. Timo you will forever be missed!

My heart felting condolences to Timo's family and friends. Timo made me to feel welcome at NCOD Pastoral Week in Orlando, FL on my first time NCOD member. I never forget his warm personality and his sense of humor. May Lord be with Timo.

RIP Timo, you did a wonderful job for the Deaf community around the world. I had a great time there.

I was saddened by this news! Every Canadian that Timo encountered was blessed with his spirit! He will be missed!
Sincere sympathy to all the family during this difficult time
