Timothy Jost Prezzano, 49, died suddenly at home in Brooklyn, NY on June 13, 2018. The relatives and friends of Timothy Jost Prezzano are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad Street, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. The family will receive friends at their home immediately following the committal. Tim was born June 6, 1969 in Rochester, NY, the firstborn son of Wilbur John Prezzano, Jr and Sheila Neary Prezzano. He graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, NY, attended New York University, and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology.

He pursued a career of Information Technology and was most recently employed at the Brooklyn Art Museum. He also pursued with great enthusiasm a hobby in the creation of electronic music and had a number of albums produced under the artistic name NEV. He was an excellent photographer and always produced beautiful photographic records of the family's trips.

Tim will be remembered as a kind, gentle, patient soul who possessed a wicked sense of humor. He will be missed by his parents, his brothers David Neary Prezzano (Kelly) and E. Peter Prezzano III (Risa), his niece Olivia and nephews Brady and Cole Prezzano, many uncles, aunts and cousins and friends, and his beloved dog Nucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Brooklyn Art Museum, 200 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11238, or The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER, Inc. (843) 766-1365.

Not sure what to say?

Being a long-time friend of Tim's mother, I wish I had known him, especially as I read about him, his intelligence and his wit, and how he was loved and admired by so many. I send love and condolences to Sheila, Bill, and all those others who enjoyed his presence and personality.

Sheila and Bill, I am so sad about your loss of your son. Im also disappointed that Rob and I are in Maine and wont be home until the day after your service honoring him. Be strong - So much love -
