Tim Creager was a man of great faith _ "the kind of guy you want your daughter to marry and your sons to be like," said Rusty Wheelington, a minister who knew him well. Creager felt God had called him to serve his country. "He said he always felt God's presence with him," said his mother, Kay Creager. "He always knew he was doing what he was supposed to be doing." Creager, 20, of Millington, Tenn., died July 1 in Anbar province of Iraq. He had been stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Creager went to The Citadel on a full scholarship, but he left at the end of his sophomore year, saying he felt God was calling him to another destination. He enlisted with the Marines, fulfilling what friends said was a longtime dream. "It was what he wanted to do as long as I knew him," Wheelington said. In addition to his mother, Creager is survived by his fiancee, Marilane Mesler of Fairhope, Ala., and his father and stepmother, Mike and Susan Creager.

Dear Kay, please know that in spite of the fact that it has been 10 years since Tim's death, I often think of Tim and you as well. I am the father of Jason Simms who was in Tim's vehicle on that fateful day and like Jason, I wear Tim's name on my wrist. Has been there for 10 years and will never be removed. Jason has told me a lot about Tim and also about his recent trip to Tennessee to visit you and Tim. May God bless you

To the family and friends of Lance Cpl. Timothy R. Creager:
It has truly been my honor to sign Timothy's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Timothy will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

It has been almost 6 years since that faithfull day. I still think about that day often and still wonder what, if anything I could have done differently. I miss you and you are always in my thoughts, I even wear a braclet everyday in your honor. I talk about you often and will never forget you.
