On July 10, 2014 the world lost a great hard working man, when Timothy Charles Rich was called home, with his wife and children by his side, following a long illness. Tim was born in Gardner April 14, 1949, son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Cawley) Rich, and and has lived in Gardner most of his life. He married his beloved wife Sandra L. (Wickman) Rich, December 11, 1971, and together they have shared over 42 years of marriage. Tim worked for Seaman Paper Company for 39 years. He last held the position of Superintendent. He was a member of the Deep Sea Club of Gardner, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 747 of Gardner. Tim loved vacations with his wife and family, camping at the Peaceful Pines Camp Ground and playing cards. Tim's greatest joy came from all the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Tim will be sadly missed his two children; Shawn Rich and his wife Kristen of Gardner, and Bonnie Jones of Ashburnham, four brothers; Dennis Rich and his wife Karen of Templeton, Terrence Rich of Baldwinville, Brian Rich of Templeton, and Barry Rich of Colorado, two sisters; Rosemary Aube and her husband Leo of Gardner, and Sharyn Bisceglia of Worcester, five grandchildren who affectionately called him "Papa;" Tyler Rich, Chase Jones, Victoria Rich, Kahlan Jones, and Jayden Rich, one very special nephew, Darrel Brunell, who called him "Uncle Daddy;" four nephews and several nieces. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Tim's life by gathering for a visiting hour in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 10-11AM. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11AM. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, West St. Gardner. Should friends desire, donations in Tim's memory may be made to the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association, Hospice, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
