Sir meant the world to us. He was our biggest inspiration.

I am only now seeing this. What a shame. Tim was always a kind and gentle person to me and his family an amazing group. Sending love Sandy and hoping you are well. Rest in peace Tim. Oxox

Sir was pretty much my biggest inspiration in terms of music, I found a sense of belonging in his guitar and band class, I still remember the way he used to play that double bass during O canada every single morning and so many little details that makes me miss him even more, Rest in peace Sir

We continue to be shocked and saddened by Tim's sudden passing. We will remember his calm demeanour and his smiling positivity. He always seemed able to reassure those around him. Our family will always remember him fondly and thankfully as he was a very positive influence and role model for our sons who knew and worked with him many summers. They will keep him in their hearts throughout their lives.

Mr. Stanutz was my music teacher at Bell many years ago. He was always kind, patient and had a bounce in his step. His positive energy always influenced those around him.
He will be missed.

Shocked and sad to learn about Tim's passing. Deepest sympathies to Tim's entire family and all his many friends and students. Hearts are breaking in Toronto, too.

As students in Sir's class last year we can honestly say that he has impacted each of our lives. From playing along to O Canada on his bass, to showing us history's worst sounding music (The Rite of Spring), he did everything with a smile. Truly heartbroken that he has left this Earth, but feeling nothing short of blessed to have known him and been taught by him. We'll always remember him for his kind spirit and constant encouragement; his passionate, inspiring, love for music. His happiness...
