Not sure what to say?

I remember Tim from the mid 1970s. He was in a carpool with me going from Concord to Buckingham Browne & Nichols School where my father taught American History & Economics. My father drove the carpool. Although I did not know Tim very well, he was a nice person. He and his family are in my prayers on this 22nd anniversary of 9/11/2001.

Thinking of Tim on the 21st anniversary of that tragic day. I worked with Tim at NY Life and his cubicle was next to mine. He was one of the nicest people I knew and was so proud of his wife and 3 sons who he spoke of so often. I also watch for his name every year and have looked it up at the Manhattan memorial. My husband was a FDNY firefighter that day and was there. We always think of the brave firefighters that day and all that lost their lives. Tim is always remembered and I know he...

Twenty years have gone by and the pain of that horrible day has not gone away. I worked with Tim on the 103rd floor of Tower 1. We were both new employees of the company, Tim joining a few days before me. I remember how friendly Tim was. In our first days with the company, we were located in a holding area while our permanent work cubicles were readied. He took time out of his day to introduce me to everything and every place he had discovered on all of the floors the company occupied in...

My daughter and I had our first trip to NYC in 2012; we went to Ground Zero to pay our respects and came across the name of Timothy Stout - the only Stout to loose his life on 9/11 - and realised, from the white rose, that that day was his birthday. It was a very poignant moment and we both felt we were meant to be there that day to remember him.

Tim and I were classmates in our graduate program. I didn't learn of his passing until recent years, and I was crushed. I remember him being so kind, intelligent, and humorous. Above all, I will never forget his unselfish help when I was unemployed when he called me and directed me to a website that not only helped me get re-employed, but launched my career and forever changed my path for the better. I never had a chance to thank him. Thank you, Tim. You will be forever remembered and missed.

Tim and I were high school buddies. We rowed on the crew team together, ran along the Charles River together, partied together, and persevered through high school together. Unfortunately after graduation we went our separate ways and I never saw him again. His smile and chuckle still are cemented in my brain. I think of him often and I miss him deeply.

A few days after the disaster that took Tim's life; My wife was fielding calls from friends all over the world wanting to know if it was me. My name is Timothy Stout and I grew up in the Bronx. I spent two and a half years in Vietnam in combat with a crazy paratrooper unit we were all volunteers. And Tim if I could have, I would have been there for you. My best wishes to your family, and to you for being such a great father
