YENCER, Timothy E. - Of Flint, age 63, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 6PM Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross. Visitation 5-8PM Thursday and 12PM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Timothy was born in Flint, Michigan on October 14, 1942, the son of the late Willis and Thelma (Pecor) Yencer. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He married Phyllis Jones on August 8, 1964 in Flint. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Mr. Yencer retired from General Motors. Surviving are wife, Phyllis; daughter, Lynnette and husband Charles Allen; son, Scott and wife Vicki Yencer; grandchildren, Clifford, Bradley and Timothy; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Ramona and husband Gary Malin; many nieces and nephews. Remember working with Tim at Buick City. Had some great times with him in the plant. Lots of fun going to lunch with him. He knew lots of good places to eat! Never forget the man who introduced me to walleye cheeks!
