Not sure what to say?

Recently had a good talk with a few of the old mates and of course we all agreed it was good to have known the Zehnder. Douglas Savela mentioned the other day about how Z could slap a softball and get to first base faster than even him and how a few years ago he tried to play softball and quit after one inning cause he was to old and slow to run out a infield grounder.
Once in awhile we go by the old turn in lane to his cabin in Bitely. I have to be truthful and say we never caught fish...

was talking with my son in law and he was saying his buddy is looking to buy land up by baldwin and of course that got me to thinking of the adventures we had at Z's place all in the name of opening day of trout season and tradition and all that---a few days of sitting by the river and laughing about the things maybe we could have done better and of course bragging about the things we did just fine----college stories are often thought about as kath and i drive by the brody complex at M.S.U ....

my wife decided we needed another dog after her 7 pounds of fury past on a few years ago---she found a rescue dog and we now have 14 pounds of fury as its another mini pin beast----the reason i bring this up is we named it Z---simple and of course keeps the mighty big Z in our thoughts as we yell at the dog for various reasons but mainly her wanting to run and chase any and all critters on the farm from horses to rabbits----as the years go by we are all reminded of the frailty of man as we...

I worked with Tim at Kessel. He was such a fun guy. We lost touch when he left Kessel, but I found him on Facebook & we chatted a few times. I recently got married and thought I'd look him up. I am so sorry for your loss even though it's been 5 years. RIP Tim. It was good knowing you.

well i will have to call a few of the old MSU friends of Z's and remind them of the day----due to the pandemic it has been hard to see folks like we would like to --but i did get together with one of Tim's old freshman dorm buddies recently and spent a day walking about MSU----certainly we talked about all the fellas we made friends with during the early 70's and Brian has always thought Zehnder was about as good a fella as you could get to know back then and remained so till the end . Brian...

was spending time walking about MSU with another old friend of Z's the other day---Doug used to live with Tim back in the 70's as did i of course--anyway -- we had to walk abit out of our way as Doug wanted to see the apartment they shared off campus. He of course had nothing but good things to say about Z and all the old college buddys ---We both were disappointed that the fields on campus that we played alot of touch football and softball are gone as there are more students and of course...

Condolences to the Zehnder family on your loss of Tim. Rest in peace, Tim.

To the Zehnder family: My sincerest condolences on the loss of your son and brother. It has been many years since I last saw Tim but will always remember him as a friendly guy with a ready smile. He has joined his father and many other family members for that joyous reunion in Heaven. May your many happy memories give you comfort and may God give you peace.

Z and I first got to know each other playing cards at the M.S.U. dorm. The softball and football games were always a good break from the studies. No finer catcher could be had. Z liked to shoot his bow and we spent time throwing arrows at the M.S.U range often early on. Of course work and life made years go by with little contact except the occasional pig roast or graduation. It was certainly good to have the trout fishing weekends at his cabin these last few years. As you know, he always had...
