Todd Mayberry was serving as the acting special agent in charge of the FBI in Detroit. He began his career with the Cedar Rapids Police Department, later joining the FBI in 1997, overseeing counterterrorism operations. He was born in St. Louis and graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, with degrees in criminal justice administration. While in college he played soccer and golf. After joining the FBI, he was an agent in Chicago working on the gang unit. He then worked on the counterterrorism task force at FBI headquarters in Washington D.C. and in 2004, went to Iraq, to lead a task force that assisted Iraqis in an investigation against Saddam Hussein. Later, Todd worked in St. Louis where he was the supervisory Special Agent and Detroit, where he was one of four assistant special agents in charge. Todd loved public service, law enforcement, his country and MSU football. He was also an avid reader. Survived by his wife Mandy Becker, children Kristin Mayberry 18 and Blake Mayberry 15. Parents Karen and Darrell Mayberry, brother Scott and his wife Eileen Mayberry, father and mother in-law Gary and Barbara Becker, and brother-in-law & sister-in-law Matt and Kristy Becker. Dear nephew of Katherine Hunt and Robert and Jean Yowell. Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak on Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00pm. Memorial service Monday 11:00am at The Reserve, 325 S.
