Todd Allen Prichard

Todd Allen Prichard, 51, of Stuart, Iowa passed away April 26, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Military graveside services will be 9:30 A.M. Friday, May 2, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, Iowa 50250. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com. Todd was born April 22, 1963 in Ida Grove, Iowa to Donald and Mary Bye Prichard. In his early teens, Todd moved with his family to Martensdale, Iowa where he grew up and graduated from Martensdale St-Mary High School with the class of 1981. During his high school years, Todd was active within wrestling, football and track. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted into the United States Navy and was stationed on a ship near Pakistan during this time. After his discharge, Todd moved to Des Moines where he lived until moving to Casey, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Tawnya Foster on April 13, 1990 in Des Moines and together they became the proud parents of two children, Mary and John. In 2003 Todd moved to Stuart to make his home. Todd worked for Shelter Windows for several years as their job foreman before starting his own business, Prichard's Windows and Doors. While in Stuart Todd was very active within his children's sporting events. He helped with the Soccer League and helped start the WCV tournaments, coaching the Purple Thunder and helped with the Mat-Pac Wrestling Club. He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, canning pickles and horseradish and was also an avid Packers fan with one of his highlights being able to visit Lambeau Field a few years ago. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Prichard and one sister, Jolene Prichard. Todd leaves behind, his children, Mary Prichard and her fiancée Robert Stephens of Dunlap, Iowa and John Prichard of Harlan, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Jaden and Ellexis Stephens of Dunlap, Iowa; siblings, Robert (Linda) Prichard of Georgia, Jon Prichard of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Rose Mary (Norb) Ricker of Ohio, Sharon (Robert) Stapleford of Des Moines, Iowa and Brad (Karen) Prichard of Martensdale, Iowa and a host of nieces, nephews and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
