On March 14, 2014, Todd Douglas Stanford, Jr. 35, of Houston, Texas, went home to be with the Lord.
He was born to Rhonda Manigault and Todd Stanford, Sr. in Youngstown, Ohio on April 20, 1978. He spent most of his youth living in the Houston area before moving back to Youngstown where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Mitika Long. Todd served in the U.S. Army and after an honorable discharge, continued his military service in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He also attended Central Texas College, Sonship School of the First Born, and OG School of Hair Design while living in Killeen, Texas. Before passing on from this life to the next, Todd established himself as a barber and entrepreneur and opened The Benchmark Barbershop in Houston, Texas.
Todd is survived by: his wife Mitika Stanford of 14 years, his three children, Te'Vaun Stanford, Destiny Stanford, and Cameron Stanford; his parents, Rhonda and Jerome Kimberly and Todd Stanford, Sr.; his siblings, Terence Thomas and Devin Stanford; and his grandparents, Sam Stanford, Sr. and Paula and Ronald Manigault.
Todd's memory lives on through his family and friends because he was loved and touched by everyone who knew him. His presence will be greatly missed.
To celebrate his life, the family is requesting that attendees wear red and white in lieu of black.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 24 with the viewing from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at New Heart COGIC, 14702 Lee Rd., Humble, TX 77396. Interment: Houston National Cemetery Houston, Texas
