Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary - Rowland Heights Obituary

Tom W Braunschweiger, 48, of Orange, CA, passed away July 21, 2023, in Orange, CA, born May 23, 1975.

Loved by many in his 48 years on this earth, Tom overcame many obstacles in his life. A lover of animals, in particular birds, dogs and cats, he regularly restocked his many bird feeders at his group home. Tom took all his tasks and chores seriously, making sure they were thoroughly done. He volunteered walking Greyhounds and at the library. Tom was very thoughtful to those he felt needed help. He loved babies and thought they all deserved a place in the world. Tom was dedicated to his family, friends, church and the L.A. Lakers and Dodgers.

Tom was the sweetest soul. I lived for awhile with the Braunschweiger family when I was young, and they were the most loving, kind and beautiful people you could ever meet. I am so heartbroken for this dear family, but I know Tom is now in a beautiful place, and we will see him again one day. You all are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss of Tom. My family lived directly across the street from him up until our move to Tennessee a year ago. I'd like to share a story with you about your son. When we moved in, our son Christopher was in 1st grade and had just started taking the bus to summer school. It was a new experience for Chris. Chris was born with a neurological disorder called ACC and it causes great anxiety for new sights, sounds and experiences. On his first day on the bus, Tom crossed the...

Rest in peace, Tommy! It was always nice seeing you at mass with your sweet parents.
