Dear John and Mrs. Buck,

I cannot imagine the grief you are feeling at this time. Tom was and will always be a very important person to me. He was my first love. I've wished him Happy Birthday every year by taking a moment on that day to remember Tom. I hoped that he felt a speck of warmth on that day coming from a faraway place.
