As I sit and watch ND/Michigan for the last time, I think often of my hours and hours with Tom not only on my back porch but also at the Tampa Elks. My memories of his stories about his sisters, his family, toots and of course BO....To his family my most heartfelt feelings to quite a character and quite a friend.

My name is Heidi and I am John's other half and I was in Tampa right after Tommy passed and it was the first time for me to meet all his family. I was so overwhelmed by them, their feelings and all the emotions. They all made me so welcome that I felt like family. Tom became a friend of mine 3 years ago. Many folks remember Tom from his football years. I got to know Tom when he was remodeling our home in Tampa. Tom was an amazing carpenter. He seemed to have a love of family, Irish music and of course football. He was an easy going guy with a generous heart. Always willing to listen intently and give a hand when in need. I will miss the many conversations. Prayers to Tom's family.
