TOM "TOMMY" DEATON

In 1980 we were playing the Michigan open at University of Michigan student golf course and I was carrying my clubs and Mr. Deaton was in his trunk and I had some ratty old head covers and he reached in his trunk and handed me a brand new set of head coversand I´m pretty sure they had Franklin Hills printed on them. I remember he told me to throw my old ones out and I had a pretty good finish that year. I finished in seventh place. I remember his generosity to this day and I try to pass it on...
