Not sure what to say?

Please accept my sincere condolences to the Hornbein family, many, many friends, and colleagues for your beloved father Mr. Tom Hornbein. Mr. Tom Hornbein was one of the team of mountaineers who made the first ascent up Mount Everest’s treacherous West Ridge in 1963. He loved to climb and as a doctor to develop an interest in human performance at high altitudes. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Mr. Tom Hornbein. May the God of comfort bless your grieving...

After meeting Willi Usoeld in 1970 I have studied the 1963 Mt. Everest climb when Tom and Willi climbed the West Ridge. I met Tom at a conference where he was the keynote speaker. He was very gracious and willing to speak to me.

I’m sorry for your loss. May your memories give you peace and comfort of your loved one. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for the loss of your loved one. May GOD be with you all during this difficult time. 1 Thessalonians 4:14For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus.

My Condolences.

R.I.P. Tom
