I took Tom's 8 AM introductory economics class when I was an undergraduate at SFSU in 1960. Although I was not particularly interested in the subject at that time, Tom's inspiring lectures got me to class on time (most mornings) and I benefited in other disciplines from the rigorous intellectual approach that he brought to that classroom. He was a great teacher and public servant. My sympathies go to his family and friends.

Tom,
If Raoul heard while in prison of your achievements and your wonderful family he would be very proud.
We will always miss you, yet cherish what you have brought to the world.

I was a student of Professor Lantos at San Francisco State University. He was an eloquent speaker in a course on the European Common Market. I was impressed with his knowledge and his life experiences. I extend my deepest sympathy to his wife and children,
