Not sure what to say?

Godspeed Tom, and thank you for the wonderful, wonderful Wichita TV memories. "The Host and Rodney" and "Major Astro" Unforgettable. Rest Tom, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Army, WWII.

Tom was as warm and lovable in real life as he was as Major Astro. My childhood was filled with wonderful memories of the Major and his after school cartoon treats. As an adult I had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Tom as an uncle, and in fact, the now dear experience of performing with him on stage at a family reunion. He always had those confident, astoundingly human qualities that made him the consummate showman. He had the quick wit, magnetic eye twinkle, and yet there was no...

Whether he was The Host (My Favorite) or Major Astro, Tom Leahy brought alot of entertainment to Kansas. I loved watching The Host & Rodney even though they scared me so. Have a good journey!

Godspeed Major Astro! Everything is now A-OK and all systems are go. You were an integral part of my childhood afternoons. Thank you!

Everyone loved Major Astro, but I especially loved Rodney and The Host. All my cousins and I secretly called our Grandparents, Rodney and the Host. What nostalgic memories !!! Here's to a man that touched thousands of hearts.

He was a man who created much happiness for those of my generation. May God grant peace & fortitude to his surviving family.

No matter how difficult a school day may have been, I always knew Major Astro would be waiting with his kind encouragement as well as Superman, Space Angel, Mike Mercury and the rest. Then in high school, the same thing with Rodney & The Host. What a scary trailer! Thanks for your creative and caring persona. Blessings on your family.
