Not sure what to say?

Tom was such a gentle soul, with a sweet smile. I am so sad to hear that he's gone. He and all the Nielsens are in my prayers.
Mary McComb (former Dana faculty member)

Dear Patti and Nielsen Family. We have so many special memories of Tom. We are so sorry to hear about his passing. May you all find strengh in the beautiful memories you have of him. Our sincere condolences.

To Patricia and the Nielsen Family, I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Tom. I will always remember Tom's indelible smile and his good-nature as a Dana student. I first met Tom on our '73 Interim trip to Europe, and throughout the following years at college he was always encouraging and a good friend. My sympathy to his family and members of his family.

Sincerely,

Giles Bronson (Class, 1976 - Dana College)

"Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Tom in person, he was involved in ordering/receiving books I donated to the archives. He was keenly aware of their importance to me as a memorial to my father, but more, he knew they were significant to American history with an eye to strengthen student awareness at the college. He was a true asset to all who crossed his path & will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family and colleagues. -Nancy B. Larsen - Ashland, OH.

Tom was a classmate in my Emporia program, and was always an energetic, informed participant. So sad to hear this news.

I always enjoyed discussions with Tom on the Dana campus. His heart was always focused on making Dana a strong college academically. It was a treat to serve on committees with him. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. May God grace his family and friends with consolation.

Dear Patti, I am shocked and saddened to hear about Tom. Please know that you are in my thoughts.

I'll miss the polictics Tom... Tom was one of the few people I knew who loved a good political discussion (argument) as much as I did. He will be missed. My heart goes out to all his family.
