Not sure what to say?

Linda - I missed seeing this in a timely fashion! I miss his wise words, his gentle humor and exploration of life and death. What a contribution he made to us, and what a gift you were to him! What gems you both are.

Tom was such an amazing man, so kind, intelligent, humble and funny man. I enjoyed hearing his stories of growing up on a ranch in Wickenburg AZ, where we grew up together from first grade on. Tom will be missed by many and especially me. Much love and comfort to his family. He will rest forever in God's arms.

Tom -- with his intelligence, wit and kindness -- made the world a better place. I was fortunate to work with him at the Arizona Daily Star and Interfaith Community Services. He will live on in the lives of his family and all the people he touched in word and deed. Thank you, Tom, for everything.

Tom was my first editor in the newspaper business and he later became the first person to read my book -- and say encouraging words. The world was better for his life. He was talented, funny and a delight. My thoughts are with you in this goodbye.

I worked with Tom for many years at the Arizona Daily Star. He was kind and even-tempered and served as a mentor to so many young journalists. In the past year, as I've been exploring the wacky world of book publishing, Tom again served as a mentor and was incredibly generous with his advice and endless support. I will miss reading his thoughtful guest editorials and comments on social media. My deepest sympathies to Tom's family.

Christina and family,
Thinking of you all and wishing you peace.

We are thinking of you and praying that you'll find comfort in your memories.

Dear Linda and family, Tammy & I wish all of you peace, comfort and knowledge that Tom made a wonderful impact on his community.

It was always fun to talk with another native Arizonan - and one with a ranch background like mine! Linda - you are in our prayers. We know you have a solid faith that will sustain you. Our love to you and your family -
