BIG Tom Wiley:
You were a great man with a lot of spirit and great teachings. Did you ever get rid of that old Subaru? =) My prayers are with the family.

Tom was always our neighborhood hero. I remember as a young kid playing basketball at the Rec Center with the "big kids". I always thought that it was so cool he would let me join in. I followed Tom's coaching career and I always cheered him and his teams on. Our son Mike had Tom as a history teacher and remembers him fondly.
I was very saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Mrs. Wiley and Sons,
Tom touched a great many people in his life, and I feel I am a better person for having known Tom. Both he and Larry were my football and baseball coaches from the time I was very young.
Tom was kind of a cross between a father and a big brother. He would always let you know where he stood on the issues. I loved playing for Tom. Like so many others, I always tried to leave it all on the field for Tom. To do any less would be a dishonor. In...

Mrs. Wiley and Sons,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. I played little league baseball with Tom at the Richmond Rec. Center and as one of the finest Football players and wrestlers that ever came out of Shoreline High School, he was a role model and hero to many of those that followed him. I am sure that as a teacher and coach, he touched the lives of many young people in a very positive way.

Although Tom is primarily remembered for his coaching abilities, to have him as a regular teacher was a privilige, his debates were always considered the best and he never made one feel that their opinions didn't matter. Jan (his wife and a teacher also at Shoreline) was a blessing. My Family and Friends extend their Respect, and Sympathy to Jan, and his family in this, their time of Loss and Sorrow.
