TOMEKA JOYCE GRAY, beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt was born on July 22, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the sixth born to Charles Lloyd Gray, Jr. and Rosella Robinson Gray. Her spirit and soul returned to her heavenly home on Monday, July 11, 2022, at approximate 3:30 pm at the age of 54. She attended Mahalia Jackson Elementary School, Livingston Middle School and Abramson High School.  She enjoyed listening to music and enjoyed housekeeping, good food, family gatherings (especially during holidays), lots of laughter and joking with family members. Tomeka had a beautiful smile, and her laugh was contagious. She is survived by her devoted mother Rosella Robinson Gray Howard and siblings, Donna (Marlon) Richardson of Natchez, MS; Gayle (Whitney) Bardell of Terrytown, LA; Margaret (Henry) Spencer of Hattiesburg, and Ronnie Gray of New Orleans, LA. She also leaves to remember her beloved aunts, Priscilla Edwards, Cora "Peaches" Sullivan, Leona Robinson, Geraldine Gray, and Brenda Bryant; uncles, William J Edwards, Harold Robinson, Jr., Girard Gray, Kenneth Gray, and Patrick Gray; as well as a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lloyd Gray, Jr., her grandparents Marguerite Gray and Charles L Gray, Sr., Rosella Delonne' Robinson, stepfather Robert Howard, her uncles Emile and Michael Robinson, her sister Darlene Gray and brother Charles Lloyd Gray, III (his daughter Shelita Gray) her nephew Kevin Ford, Jr.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at 11:00a.m.Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
