His smile could light up even the darkest of days, and it was contagious to everyone around him. Tommie loved people and never met a stranger and he could strike up a conversation with anyone, and in no time make them feel like they had known him for years. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. If you knew Tommie, you knew he loved life, dancing and music. Above all things, Tommie was a God-fearing man, guided by his faith and deep since of purpose. His relationship with God was central to his life, and it was through that faith he was able to touch the hearts of life, and it was through that faith he was able to touch the hearts of everyone he met.

Life is but a Stopping Place Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord
