Tommie Lee Thompson

My family and I were new to Bellevue, Baptist Church, however, I saw Tommie frequently at church especially at the Men of Memphis conferences and morning Bible studies. He always had a kind word and friendly smile to share. Our brother is dearly missed because he has been called home and gone up yonder but Praise God we will see him again in Heaven. Be encouraged!

Tommie was my friend, and I will see him again. He was admired and loved by many. A man who openly loved God and his family, he often spoke fondly and proudly of his wife Betty, his kids, and his grand kids.
My deepest sympathies to all he touched. My prayers are with you.

I worked with Tommie for years at International Paper. The last few years, we actually worked back to back in a cubicle on the EDGE project. He was the gentlest of souls and always a pleasure. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He will be sorely missed, but I know he is with His Lord.

I met brother Tommie a few years ago at Bellevue Frayser Baptist Church. He was a such an inspiring, kind and thoughtful person, and always wore a Godly smile on his face. He enjoyed the song I once sang on the praise team, "I Give Myself Away, So God Can Use Me". RIP brother Tommie, God will still be using you to watch over us. Praying for your strength, Ms. Betty.
