I was shocked and saddened to read of Tommy's death. My thoughts and prayers go out to his brother, Eric, his mom and his dad. I was Tommy's 5th grade teacher and have nothing put positive memories of him from our year together. May he rest in peace.

Damn man this wasn't right. I recently found out what happened. I used to go to Gladiator's gym for about 9 months recently before switching to Elizabeth Rec and I talked with Tommy a lot. We were supposed to fight in the golden gloves together. A real funny guy and really loved boxing. God needed another angel, sad it had to be Tommy though....

I was lucky to have been Tommy's second grade teacher at Washington School. I was heart broken when I heard of his passing.
Tommy was a positive, bright student. He always tried his best. He was a good friend, great student and most importantly a gentle soul.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those who loved Tommy most; his family and friends.

Before the Golden Glove bouts this past Friday night in Garfield, all the Golden Glover Boxers circled the ring and we had a moment of silence and "9 count" prior to the start of the show and the bouts that evening were dedicated to...
