Not sure what to say?

Our family only knew Stephen for a year -- he was our son's music teacher at Temple Emanuel. But in those few months, he passed along a love of guitar that will stay with our son the rest of his life.

Mr. Potts, as he was known to us, was a gifted teacher. He turned a motely class of students into a band. We will always remember their two performances. And Stephen's love of music will always be with those students.

Stephen truly touched the future, and is already missed....

Dear Family, I was a friend of Steve and his sister Brenda, when we were all in high school. I had wondered whatever happened to Steve over the years. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Family,
My husband and I are both classmates of Steve-class of 1971 at Haleyville High School. I remember Steve always being interested in music. I am so glad he got to fulfill his dream in the music field. I pray that our precious Lord will comfort all of you in the days and weeks to come. Just rejoice that you will all be together again one day.

God's blessings on you all,
Roger and Jo Ellen Parker

Carol, I'm so sorry for your loss. I truly know what you're going through. You are in my prayers. God Bless.

Dear Carol,

Steve was a childhood friend that I haven't seen in nearly 40 years. I have fond memories of our childhood when we played every game imaginable and explored everything that could be explored. He was a good young friend.

I know he accomplished great things in his life. He gave gifts to others that can be kept for a lifetime. May I offer you my condolences and best wishes. I know he will be greatly missed by you, family, and friends.

thank you steve for loving and caring for my sister during your 8 years together. most of all though thank you for teaching bradley the guitar. i'm sure when he plays he will think of you. you will be missed in our family. i know you are in a much better place than we are here and at peace. we will see you again one day.

Dear Carol:
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Steve. Hopefully the many wonderful memories you have of your precious time together will help to sustain you in your grief. Please let me know if I can do anything to be of assistance or comfort to you. I will keep you in my prayers.
Fondly,
