I was privileged to say a few words during the memorial service about Tommy who I'd known for 42 years. If I could have said everything that I remembered, we'd been at the funeral home through supper! One thing that needs to be brought out: The reason for the success of the Shaws' marina operation was Rose Nell. She was the perfect partner. She handled the restaurant and well do my wife, Bea, and I remember the great-tasting hamburgers and sweet "Clark Hill Limewater Tea," as Tommy always...

I was greatly saddened to learn of Tommy's passing. But,he will always be a part of my life. He helped me to learn how a boy becomes a man. He taught me to laugh when things go "wrong" and share when they go "right". He helped instill in me a love of the outdoors, a respect for others, and an appreciation for doing things the right way. I look forward to many fishing trips with him along with all the other fisherman whom Jesus loved so much. Conrad Whitfield (Harold Grant's nephew.)

Aunt Rose Nell Uncle Tommy has always been special to me (as you are). He always took the time to listen to a lonely little girl who only wanted to read, not fish! Holly and I were honored to be at his ceremony and brought Mama's love with us. You and Linda are in my thoughts and throughout my childhood memories. Love, Susan Moore Hill Forrest Hill

Although I've only known Tommy for about 4 years the example that he set every man should try to achieve. He was truly a fisher of men.

Tom-Tom! I am going to miss you so much. I will never forget all of our memories. All of your stories, letting me drive Mama Shaw's car, the lake, and letting me climb all over you (everyone thought I was going to break you)! I'll never forget choking on that life savor at your house when I was little, or playing for hours on end in your basement, or listening to Cadillac Style! I love you so much and you will be missed greatly!
Mama Shaw, Mama Linda, & family- I love all of you so...
