Anthony Cornell "Tony" Biegler age 58, of Maynard, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on February 21, 2015 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. Tony formerly lived in Stow, Massachusetts for many years. Tony was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on February 13, 1957 to Robert Frank and Lyda Maxine Cornell Biegler. Tony graduated high school in Fort Madison and received an Associate's degree from Indian Hills Community College. Recently, Tony received an honorary alumnus award from St. Bonaventure University, for which he was very proud. Tony was employed by Juniper Networks as a test engineer. Previously Tony worked at Sycamore Networks and 3Com. He enjoyed spending time with his children and many groups of friends – to be a friend of Tony's was to be a friend for life. He was everyone's favorite. Tony looked forward to time on the Cape in the summer with family and friend and he specialized in manning the grill at any party. He enjoyed being the center of attention at annual "It's All about Tony" weekends; the 4th annual of which was held earlier this month in the hospice. Tony loved the NFL draft, classical literature, art museums, and Godzilla movies. He hated airports but enjoyed traveling to destinations such as Greece, Scotland, Mexico, and Malaysia. Survivors inlclude his mother, Lyda Maxine Biegler of Ft. Madison; by his children, Matthew Cornell Biegler of New York City and Katherine ("Katie") Paige Biegler of Cambridge, Massachusetts; two brothers, David Biegler and Paul Biegler, both of Fort Madison, Iowa; two sisters, Becky Schwiete of Ankeny, Iowa and Laurie Slater of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John. The funeral service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Bill Willis officiating. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Bonaparte Cemetery. A memorial may be made to a hospice organization of the donor's choice.
