Tony Mark Brower, age 63 died peacefully at the Hillsville Health & Rehab Facility in Hillsville, VA on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.


He was the son of the late Willie Ralph Brower and Geraldine McLean Brower of Monroe, NC.


He leaves behind his wife, Sherri Roberts Brower as well as two sons Dakota McGinn of the home and Jesse Brower, his wife Pamela and their two sons,  Hunter and Blake of Shallotte, NC.


Tony was a Veteran of the US Navy, having honorably served aboard the USS Forrest Sherman. 


Steadfast in his faith, Tony was a devout Christian who loved reading the Bible.


There will be no services at this time; however, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to go towards expenses by sending to the funeral home or directly to the family at P.O. Box 813 Austinville, VA 24312. Arrangements are by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, in Hillsville, Va.

Sherry, I am so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. It appears that he was in the same facility in Hillsville that John was in 2019 before he passed away. You two were one of the first people John and I met when we moved here in 2007. We were actually neighbors property wise, even though there was a lot of land separating us. I'll never forget all the years Tony drove down past our place to retrieve the many deer he got during hunting season. Also being included in some of your family...

So sorry to hear of Tony passing..Tony was my cousinmost of my memories are when Tony was a young boy..our paths went in different directionsI remember Tony was a good man..God’s Speed Tony and familyGod’s promise we will all be together .. God Bless and RIP RICK McLain
