Not sure what to say?

Tony O!
You were my favorite Blackhawk of all time. Memories of those cold Chicago nights listening to my transistor radio under the covers as 10 yr old. Then later in life actually meeting you in person while delivering a Fedex package to your home. He was so humble and gracious. I will treasure that moment along with the autographed photo he gave me forever. My heart goes out to the Esposito family. We lost a legend!

Though I never met him, Tony had a huge influence on my life. As an all-star athlete, person and consummate gentleman, he taught me life lessons from afar as an endurer, innovator and hard worker. When I was 5 years old I received a wool Blackhawks jersey. I masking taped '35' on the back and wore it to school almost every day. Growing up on the Manitoba prairies I'd put on my snowsuit with my shortwave radio under my arm and lie down in the field where the reception was best

A Blackhawk fan since 1965, and always was a fan of Tony O. He will always be the greatest goaltender of all time. He will always be in spirit with the Blackhawks.

I was his equipment manager in 1976, Tony invited me to have Christmas dinner with his family, because I was alone for the holidays!
Thanks my friend and RIP

I was Tony's Equipment Manager in 1976. Tony invited me to have Christmas dinner with his family, because I was by myself! I never forgot his kindness and generosity! RIP my friend

Dear members of the Esposito family: When I was a kid growing up in Chicago, I always wanted to play goalie. Tony was my hero. My uncle (Paul Hruby, for whom the Ridgeland Commons skating rink in Oak Park is named) was very involved in youth hockey, and took me to Gunzo's one day to get me a goalie stick. That was the beginning of a life-long love for the position of goalie, the Blackhawks, and Tony-0. My Dad always called me Peter-0, as a way of showing me his love and realization of...

Tony I only knew you and Marilyn a short time at sea hags I considered you both my friends you are missed

I am a native Chicagoan and still a Blackhawks fan even having left the area in 1998.
One of Tony's favorite post-game restaurants was Brunetti's on 31st street in Brookfield. I'd seen him and his entouarge several times in the semi-private room off the main dining room. One night, I was eating alone after I my shift, just after he arrived, I walked over and said hello and offered my respects to a fellow goaltender. Tony was beyond friendly and cordial. As a few of his friends slowly...

I was re-watching the second game of the Russia-Canada series (1972) tonight when I learned of Tony’s passing. Tony was first star along with Phil with Canada winning 4-1. Tony earned my respect as one of the very best NHL goalies ever. May you RIP.
