Tony Gay, age 51, of Woodstock, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Emory Midtown Hospital. He was a project manager for General Electric and a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Singleton officiating. The body will be cremated. Survivors include his daughters, Lora Becker and Ashleigh Melton, Woodstock, Savannah Gay, Kansas City, MO; mother, Ginny Gay, Woodstock; brother & sister-in-law, David & Patricia Gay, MI; sister, Sissie Thomas, Woodstock; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 12 until 9 p.m. on Thursday and until the funeral hour on Friday. South Canton Funeral Home & Chapel, Canton, GA in charge of arrangements (770) 479-3377.

Tony was a great friend and respected colleague who will always be remembered for his love of family and life. I will celebrate the priveledge of knowing him.

Tony's laughter was contagious; and his passions for life, hard work, and family were evident. He was a wonderful friend and colleague, whom I will miss. I worked with Tony for over 6 years at GE. It was an honor and pleasure to know him and work with him. Our prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He maybe be gone but will not be forgotten.

I worked with Tony at Toshiba for a few years and always had a great time with him. He was a great guy and a good friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. MY prayers and sympathy go out to his family.
