Not sure what to say?

I know this is late and probably nobody will see this, but I'm his granddaughter Caroline. I was a baby when he died, so I don't remember him, but I look forward to meeting him in Heaven.

To Randy's family: this is one of the hardest notes I have ever written. You are a special family and have lost a precious precious gem from that circle and the words of condolence do not come easy for me. We are thankful to have known you and Randy was just an exceptional man of our time and so needed. When I think of what to say to you a verse of scripture from the 2nd chapter of Luke comes to mind, and He grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. From all the articles I...

Through high school and college, Randy set a great example of a godly man. He set a high standard for others to follow. Though the Lord did not answer our prayers for physical healing, we rejoice knowing he is in His presence.

My thoughts and prayers are with Sheila and the family. I was blessed to become Randy's friend through our involvement in Leadership Birmingham. His dedication to God, family and community were so evident - and his faith never waivered. What an inspiration for us all.

To all the family, Don and I send
our thoughts and prayers. Jerome is remembering youall in his prayers as well. He feels a great sadness for you. I will always remember Randy as a baby when
you visited the family and Popes
Chapel. He was a sweetheart then
and I am sure continued like that
all of his short life. Mom always
told me about his phone calls from
U of A and how she enjoyed them
What I have read on line tonight will be a great help to all...

My prayers are with Sheila and the Henderson family.

I’m glad my path and Randy’s crossed in the world of journalism. I will forever remember his sharp mind and his steadfast dedication to God, his family and his profession – in that order. I’ll miss his heart-tugging e-mails and the wonderful sound of his voice over the telephone. But I’m happy about his home-going, even envious no less. My mama used to tell me that cream always rises to the top. She was right.

Tony & Ruby, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. From Richard & Marcia Nolin, Paul & Rhonda Nolin and Matt Nolin.

Dear Sheila, Luke, and Gloria,
Because of the recent struggle of our son Brian with lung cancer, you know that we are praying for you and can have real empathy for your loss of a great man, husband, father, and grandfather. We can picture Brian and Allen talking with Randy now in the presense of our Beloved Jesus and the Father, as the Holy Spirit comforts us here on earth.
