Not sure what to say?

Tony Lay was one of the most influential men in my formative years. His work in Georgia with the State YMCA touched the hearts and lives of many young people including mine. As a teenager he was my hero. As an adult he was someone I regretted not having him nearby. God Bless him and his family.

I only spent one evening with Tony. We officiated a Friday high school football game in 2023. It was an honor to dine with Tony and his wife, Barbara, after the game. He is such a fine man and so easy to consider a new friend after just and evening of serving at a GHSA football game and a meal together.

Tony was a valued member of the Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association (AVVBA), a LOCAL fraternal and charitable organization.

i always enjoyed singing with Tony He had a wonderful smile. and enjoyed music

I'm very sorry to hear the news of Tony's passing. He had such a wonderful laugh and would tell great stories in his sophisticated southern accent. My deepest condolences to Barbara.

Tony was a friend and co-volunteer ambassador at Chastain Park Golf Course. He was always cheerful and optimistic despite his physical setbacks- I enjoyed his company- a true gentleman and American hero. He will be missed by all those he knew and the many who loved him..

Thinking of and praying for Lisa, Julie, Maria, and Christoper.

I will always remember Tony as one my dearest friends. I'll never forget the phone call in 2015 asking if he and his wife Barbara could join Club Nostalgia. He was certainly the "Life" of the movie club and sometimes known as "The Duke", as he so loved John Wayne. He was a warm- hearted Christian and gentleman who touched so many lives. He will truly be missed. May God's eternal light shine upon him.

Although I only knew Tony for a short time in our nostalgia movie group, I was, as I´m sure most people who knew him, smitten with his charm. I enjoyed his interactions with his lovely wife and his great sense of humor. He will be missed by many, no doubt.
